| A George Moore manuscript was a finalist for the 2007 Richard Snyder Memorial Prize from Ashland Poetry Press in Ohio, and earlier for the National Poetry Series, the Brittingham Poetry Award, and the Anhinga Poetry Prize. He has published poems with The Atlantic, Poetry, North American Review, Orion, Chelsea, Colorado Review, Nimrod, Meridian, and other journals. His collections include Headhunting (Edwin Mellen, 2002), The Petroglyphs at Wedding Rocks (Edwin Mellen, 1997), and The Long Way Around (Wyndham Hall, 1992). He has also published two electronic books, an e-Book, All Night Card Game in the Back Room of Time (until recently with DPP Publishing, 2007) and a CD, Tree in the Wall, (CDchapbooks.com, 2006). Other publications include a study of Gertrude Stein’s work that was published with Peter Lang Inc., Gertrude Stein’s The Making of Americans: Repetition and the Emergence of Modernism (1998). George currently teaches English literature and creative writing at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He often collaborates with artists from far-reaching locales such as Iceland and Spain and exhibits his creations world-wide. |
