That they are hard to do is not news. I would say I would like to leave my (our) cosmic radio on to whatever station I might find, coming in fairly clearly in a particular moment, and be happy with that alone, but it is rarely that easy for me or anyone else, I think. Poetry is as big as philosophy, science, cable TV, the net, you, me, the world. I think in our best moments, we try and point to this mystery in any way we can.

Poetry is one way of pointing.
