This October we are bringing in Professor George Legrady’s Cell Tango installation for a 4-week exhibition in EMU’s Ford Gallery. Legrady has exhibited extensively worldwide and currently teaches Interactive Media at UC Santa Barbara.

Legrady’s interactive installation asks the questions: Will cellphone technology transform how we create/use images produced “on the fly”? In what ways do online visual databanks such as Flickr recontextualize the images we create and share? Can such online images be used creatively as components in artistic works that explore the construction of visual narratives through the juxtaposition of sequenced images?

You know how we love questions: ) More exhibit details forthcoming. Visit Legrady’s site here.

The long awaited site has arrived! At BathHouse we are driven by experimentation so consider the site to be in beta the next few weeks as we figure out what works/doesn’t and what readers want! We’ll be exploring how the site can be used to interact with its reading community, and potentially upgrading existing pages/text.

Active community is a top priority for us so visit often for interesting Bi-weekly Finds (want it weekly? Let us know!) posted every other Friday, inspiring Artist Spotlights, and regular posts.
